Hi Izyxa
I have been using Volumose for years, recently i have formatted my laptop (Dell XPS L502X, Win7 64bit) and load Volum2, After set my personal config. Same as that i have been using  for years, it does not run at startup, so i have to startup manually ("Run program at windows startup" is checked on System integration section) Any suggestion to fix this issue? Thanks in advance for your answer and by share this awesome program.

Do you use latest version?…

Is there a way to have a shortcut to do the "Test" feature on an audio device? I have a set of speakers that go into stand-by and this activates them easily and it would be nice to do it by shortcut.
Djerkification Featured By Owner Aug 28, 2016

Yow irzyxa,

Can you please change the Volume2 program so, that Volume2 Peak Meter settings (Movable, Stay on top & Snap to edges) will be kept/saved?

Cauze some games, like warthunder, will keep switchin to the desktop when Stay On Top is enabled.
And in current version, disabling this option, will be enabled again after a system reboot.

Thanks so much.

Just a question: Is it possible to open the program multiple times? I'd like it to set the sound for the active application and also for spotify seperately. Thank you
irzyxa Featured By Owner Aug 22, 2016
You can use alternative device for this

Amazing software. Thank you!

Shouldn't it take over the default OSD? Is this a bug? (I have Windows 10 64bit)
I'm just looking for a way to reduce the default volume OSD timeout without changing the global notification timeout.
(5 sec. for a new e-mail notification is pretty short for example)
The Volume2 OSD timeout can be configured, but i can't see the sense in this when the default volume OSD is still there for 13 seconds.
irzyxa Featured By Owner Dec 28, 2015
You should add your volume+\- keys to Volume2 hotkeys
OctogunSalata Featured By Owner Dec 28, 2015
Thanks, but I've found another solution. The freeware" Volume Step Adjuster".
You can customize the volume
increment/decrement steps with this. Was searching for something like this anyway.
And it has a useful side effect - the volume overlay gets disabled as soon as you run it.

Makes a perfect pair with Volume2.

Thank you! I've been searching for ages a way to disable that Windows 10' stupid native volumen bar OSD.
OctogunSalata Featured By Owner Mar 11, 2016
You're welcome
But one thing is bugging me. The main window always shows up when booting up windows.
Can you please disable this in the next version?
You normally don't reconfigure the program on every reboot, so it should start in the system tray.
OctogunSalata Featured By Owner Edited Feb 6, 2016
Have found also a solution for this. :)
With some programs (4T Tray Minimizer or AnVir Task Manager e.g.) you can force programs to start in system tray.

I'm having some volume adjustment errors. I'm in logarithmic mode, 20 steps. When I turn volume down to 50, I have to increase volume twice. I'm pretty sure this is due to internal float rounding errors.

Great program, thanks. :-)
GetYaCakeUp Featured By Owner Edited Aug 15, 2014
ever since the new windows update, using the mouse wheel to increase/decrease the volume when hovering over the system tray no longer works. muting still works. thanks, love the program. hope you can fix this.

edit- looks like it has something to do with the "X-Mouse Button Control" program I have installed. When I disable X-Mouse, Volume2 wheel volume controls work fine. weird. everything was compatible before i updated windows.

Great Soft. But what to do with PEAK METER ? Nothing happens for me..
It just loads, and stays there.

Great program, really. But I have noticed strange behavior of Windows Start menu. When Volume 2 is active, sometimes Start menu appears open as if Win key was pressed. I checked my keyboard shortcuts and nothing with Win key is defined. It's random, mostly when I click by mouse. I need to close Start menu then. It is quite annoying.
nicoSama Featured By Owner Apr 25, 2014
Hey irzyxa, great work!

The F12 key does not work as a shortcut, even on version (Win 7 x64). I went to your website and saw your workaround: I added F12 and "Shift + F12" to the Low Level Shortcuts in the config.ini file and it now works perfectly.

Just a feature suggestion: Volume2 notices when you change your default playback device. Could it be possible that the mouse/keyboard shortcuts change volume for the current default device? I often change between my devices (headphone/speakers) and the shortcuts only work for the specified "audio device" in Volume2 options. I use the alternate audio device function but I'd like to always use the same shortcut. For example I'd like F11 to always be volume UP, for my speakers AND my headphones. Not 2 different shortcuts.

Finally, you should promote your software more. It's absolutely fantastic but it's not well known outside of Russia, I had a really hard time finding it but I think it's easily the best volume manager / OSD software at the moment!
nicoSama Featured By Owner Apr 25, 2014
My bad, you can't edit comment on DeviantArt, I found that by using "Windows Default" as the default audio device it works as I wanted. I'm dumb.

Sorry and kudos again for your great app!

Nice Tool, but how can i deactivate the Windows OSD?

irzyxa Featured By Owner Jan 19, 2014
Windows does not have OSD. May be you install it with mouse or keyboard utils? In VolumeČ OSD can be disabled on tab OSD - Show OSD.
