Mega Man X and all of its characters belong to Capcom.
I do not own any of the official arts/sprites/backgrounds used in this comic, if they are present in this page. They're Capcom's © - Mega Man X and Zero sprites were made by several authors.
Textures from X8 were ripped by Sprite's INC.

I like the neat nod to Judge Man and Robot Master backstory. I'm curious did you get reference from Hitoshi Ariga's Judge Man for Megamix? Or the EXE version years later?

Hey, I'm glad you liked it. I found appropriate to make a mention to the last Robot Masters in this chapter since it happens a short time after Mega Man X1 and the world has just finished the transition to the Reploid era. For your question, I didn't recall the Megamix version when I was writing, so the alusion was to a counterpart of Judgeman.EXE.

Still... Weren't conscious robots outlawed during the time between the classic and X series? If I remember correctly the Wily Incidents caused great fear in the public, that they refrained from using them onwards.

I believe their mental capacities were more restricted during this period so they would not "go Maverick" or behave in unnintended ways. A Judge Man would only analyze complex syllogisms and what is "fair" according to the logic and written laws, or help the jury to not fall in any tricks, emotional appeal, etc, but not necessarily have a real opinion.

Funny thing is, the Starforce series did the same thing, with only a few NetNavi's existing while in Starforce 3 I presumed they're completely replaced by Wizards.

Well, if you're interested, here's the design for Judge Man in his Megamix cameo: vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/m…
