I wish I had more talent. Then drawing wouldn't be so painful. (Paintful!) But enough of that; everyone can do with more talent, but that doesn't stop some people from being brilliant as it is.
It's just a question of motivation. Once my only motivation came from that short-lived moment of satisfaction at the completion of a piece (which first rotted in a cupboard, then in some corner of a hard disk, then in some nook of dA). And then I thought I found something else, something stronger and more potent - but then 1) it didn't work out 2) I found that internally driven motives are stronger than external ones.

I have decided that whatever Minardi is going to throw at us for the semester project, I am going to make a perfect replica of Wall-E doing something obnoxiously adorable in AutoCAD. Or at least a more pleasing one than this (no offense).

What have I been up to, this past 2 years? School stuff, as I always tell my parents. True, but vague enough to be a useful cover. The most recent is designing exhibition posters for RJC's Literature Festival ... Im not sure if it's open to the public, but hey, come down for the Exhibition, Rafflesians.
I'll put up my stuff after it's all over, i.e. after they stop selling postcard versions of them. For now...
