PROLOGUE
The stars glittered in the sky in their auric brilliance, deep in the night, as three men walked along the sands of the rocky cove. The tide kicked up salty waters upon their boots as the sand shifted underneath, the rocks surrounding them reflecting not the stars, but the deep orange glow of a pyre out at sea.
