Hi everyone, so today's Valentine's Day. Did you know that this day was made commemoration day in 469 and removed from the roman calender again in 1969? Originally, there were church services to bless married couples. Valentine's Day gained its popularity mostly from extensive advertising by the flower and candy industry. I just came home from work. I go by train, so I see a lot of strangers every day. In the morning and in the evening, an employee walked through the train, offering chocolate hearts to all passengers. Nice gesture, I thought. So, everyone mourned for the recently passed away Steve Jobs. His death is very sad, he was a great man and did an excellent job making Apple what it is now (or at least playing a big part in the process). Danke für's faven^^

You are most welcome.

I notice you’re from Germany. Ton of history there! I visited the Rhine Valley and Black Forest years ago and thought it was gorgeous!

I found that a lot of people here in the U.S. don’t know much about their own country,

much less anyone else's. :(

I post prayer updates about different countries. Part of the reason is to raise awareness

about what's going on in the rest of the world.

Recently I’ve started my own private initiative; if I notice someone on DA is from another country, if I've done their country I let them know. It’s my way of letting them know that

others are thinking about their home. :)

This update is about your home!
