Not much interesting stuff to tell about me. Grew up in a village, lived there (or near there) most of my life. I'm currently working as a computing specialist for a small computing service provider.

Hi everyone,so today's Valentine's Day. Did you know that this day was made commemoration day in 469 and removed from the roman calender again in 1969? Originally, there were church services to bless married couples. Valentine's Day gained its popularity mostly from extensive advertising by the flower and candy industry. I just came home from work. I go by train, so I see a lot of strangers every day. In the morning and in the evening, an employee walked through the train, offering chocolate hearts to all passengers. Nice gesture, I thought. During the ride, I saw several men with flowers - mostly roses - to bring their girlfriends (and ma...

So, everyone mourned for the recently passed away Steve Jobs. His death is very sad, he was a great man and did an excellent job making Apple what it is now (or at least playing a big part in the process). However, nobody talks about the other great man who died recently: Dennis MacAllister Richie, who died at age 70. Now, most of you may now wonder, who is that man and why should I know him? The answer is simple, Richie was a Unix pioneer. He was the primary inventor of the C programming language. C was the first high programming language, without C, other programming languages like C++, C#, Java, etc would not have been possible. There a...

I love your linguistics work. Out of curiosity, have you made any typeable fonts that you'd be willing to share, I love your Devānachira and Saathakira especially. Its for nothing commercial, just would love to use them for languages in my D&D game

Hello, I'm glad you like them. I create TTFs for most of the scripts I design (at least the newer ones), there's an excellent tool for that, named Calligraphr. If you do not use them commerically, and credit me as the creator, I can send them to you.

I'd love that, as said its mainly for usage in a home D&D game. I'm building up a new part of the setting and was looking for interesting languages and scripts to use. I've use Calligraphr in the past, I made a Eye-based script to give my players a coded letter from a cult :D it was fun
