(Music: Wardruna - Raido)

Freyja (Vanadís) is one of the preeminent goddesses in Norse mythology. She is goddesses of love, fertility, beauty, sorcery and magic, as well as war and death.🗡
(Music: Wardruna - Raido)

It was said that after a battle, Freyja would lead a band of Valkyries to gather the fallen warriors. She would take her share of the dead to Sessrumnir, her hall in the home of the gods, while the other half went to Odin, god of wisdom and war. Freyja might also have been the goddess on hand to greet women after death.

She rode the boar Hildisvíni, and possesses a cloak of feathers. Another Freyja’s vehicles was chariot pulled by two male cats (probably lynxes) Bygul and Trjegul. 🐱

My previous take on her from 2018:

When the battle is lost

And the slain ones are chosen

The Valkyries will guide us home

We'll heed the final call

A call to arms

The Valkyries will guide us home

I was not able to figure out clear information from the sources. One side, Odin's wife was Frigg, goddess associated with foresight and wisdom. But in the other hand Freyja's husband, named Odr in late Old Norse literature, can be interpreted as Odin, and, accordingly, Freya is ultimately identical with Odin’s wife Frigg. Too difficult for me, need the opinion of the carriers of the Scandinavian culture.

Well as a friend of mine said, the difference is in the tolerance of Loki, Frigga will laugh at his antics, Freyja will try to spear him.

Perhaps it's like the Olympians, who had different names and origins depending on where and who spoke about them.
