JUM-FIGHT TWO DASH!!!
Hiiiii sorry for being inactive for quite a while, I just had my exams and I only started my break a few days ago so I've been really busy lol. Thankfully I passed almost all of my exams with high grades, except for a single one which I failed and will have to retake next Monday, but other than that I am finally free and I have more time to draw now YAY
I did get to watch a bit more of Jumborg Ace and I FINALLY got to Jumborg 9's debut episode and safe to say that I love him a lot. I will say that my favorite out of the two is still Ace (in fact he's my favorite out of all of UFZ's Showa counterparts), but I love 9 a lot. He's both really cool and really silly at the same time and personally I find him to be kinda cute too thanks to his appearance. Now that I finally had more free time I could finally continue my series of drawings of Ultimate Force Zero and their Showa counterparts, this time with Jean-Nine and Jumborg 9!
Once again made this piece look similar to my previous drawings of Mirror Knight and Mirrorman, Glenfire and Fireman and Jean-Bot a Jumborg Ace, taking slightly more inspiration from my artwork of Jean-Bot and Jumborg Ace, since Jean-Nine is Jean-Bot's little brother and Jumborg 9 is Jumborg Ace's partner (although I will admit I also like viewing the Jumborgs as brothers too just like the Jean bros). Jean-Nine is the one member of UFZ that I have drawn the least, mostly because I watched the installments he appeared in a bit later and because his design has been the most difficult one for me to draw. Overtime tho I did practice drawing both Jean-Bot and Jean-Nine and now I feel like I am doing a lot better and drawing them, especially since I managed to gather some really good references for them. As for Jumborg 9, I have already made several doodles of him beforehand and I already got pretty used to his design especially since it is pretty simple, so I didn't have any sort of trouble drawing him here. Although I will say I am not that happy with the way I drew his face here, but I don't think it's that bad. Overall I am pretty happy with how both of them turned out and I feel like this piece does highlight how despite being counterparts, Jean-Nine's design took a lot more creative liberties that differentiate it from Jumborg 9 (plus I am pretty sure that Jean-Nine was at least partially inspired by Jum Killer too, the first enemy that Jumborg 9 defeated, both because of the role that Jean-Nine had as Jean-Killer in Killer the Beatstar, and because I feel like several aspects of Jean-Nine's design do slightly resemble Jum Killer).
I still haven't finished Jumborg Ace yet since I've been busy, but I will definitely finish it during my break and then I will continue the last remaining Ultra shows I have left. I had a lot of fun watching Mirrorman, Fireman and Jumborg Ace and I definitely wanna watch other non-Ultra Giant Hero shows in the future (already plan on watching Zone Fighter and I also wanna give Redman a try too). Maybe I might make another drawing like this but with Zero and Seven in the future, but we'll see how I feel about it
