DotW | Reluctant Thanks

Ever since childhood, Judith had never been one for 'thank-yous.' She either never felt genuine gratitude for the kind thing that had been done for her, or felt her appreciation simply went without saying. 

But what the young Riverfellian had done during the battle... somehow it didn't feel right to not tell him something. As much as she'd wanted to hate the Riverfellians, she couldn't bring herself to. Not after everything she'd seen and what they had all been through together. They'd fought with her, despite their differences. 

Even after the battle was done, she waited a long time to seek the grey Riverfellian out. When she finally did, she found the words caught in her throat, standing awkwardly behind him. Saying her thanks, out loud... The idea of it made her uncomfortable. She would have bailed, gone right back to her fellow Vektreni had he not noticed her standing there.

Left with no choice but to go through with her earlier intention, she addressed him in a voice so quiet it was nearly masked by the sound of the rain.

"Thank you."

Still got two more pieces to finish for Judith's "Hive Finale Saga" LOL, but I'm gettin' there!

No clue if it was still raining after the final battle ended, but... IT WAS AN ARTISTIC CHOICE OKAY. xD
