So, good news, the children's book that my mom wrote and I illustrated a couple of years ago is going to be published. Unfortunately, I'm no longer happy with much of my work and am now scrambling to do several pictures over again. These pictures involve extreme perspective, a flapping dress, and very long curly hair. Not easy, but I've got my preliminary sketches looking about the way I want them, so I'm about ready to draw them again on a watercolor block.
I'm thinking of possibly starting a series of helpful entries with drawing tips and useful illustrations. I'm not a master artist and have a lot to learn, but I know there are some bits of wisdom that I could confidently impart to developing artists. That's a ways down the road though, so we'll see.
