All off-site stock must be credited with direct links to the stock itself. Stock must be listed even if it is your own. 3D images should contain a program reference. Fan Art should include some sort of reference and may not be available as a print. Fan Art FAQ Images containing copyrighted content categorized as manipulation will be declined. Ex. Celebrities, movie characters, screenshots etc. DeviantART Copyright PolicyWe will decline an image because of: Lack of or improperly stated credits. You must state if the stocks used are your own. Offensive content Submission to the wrong folder Deviation does not meet quality standard Fan art contains an uncredited celebrity image. Deiviation is a different colored duplicate of another image. Nudity for the sake of nudity; Blantant or non-artistic nudity. No vector images. No traditional art. Sketches, Painting, Artisan Crafts, Photography, etc.(Rules regarding quality standards, offensive content, and nudity will be enforced at the discretion of the staff.) What do you look for in a join request? Properly stated credits on every deviation. Images that are of intermediate level or above.Because this is a group for learning and growing we will try our very best to let you know true reasons why your image or join request was declined, you will never get an evasive answer. Also, it is our plan to allow members to submit to our blog information about Photoshop and techniques that they find useful. Some things we should talk about
This journal is here to highlight, debug and bust some myths for you all of stuff that goes on ALL the time, and is in part spurred by some recent events that leave me somewhat baffled and perplexed over some of the behavior we've been recently seeing across the DA communities, particularly Stock & Resources, and Photomanip since we work so closely together (and its apparently time I wrote a new wall of text to you all.)
Every community has them. Those constant "issues" that make people angry and frustrated. Sometimes they can be easily solved with a little effort, and other times something just snaps and causes reactions that are far and away over the top. Here are some of our top faves.

Always leave a message on why you declined an image.

Always check to make sure an image is being submitted to the right category, i.e. Fantasy is Fantasy is Fantasy and Dark is Dark is Dark.
