War for the First Lands by Inspector97 War for the First Lands by Inspector97
The cover for the first chapter on my 7 part D&D campaign. It's a sprawling adventure and I decided each chapter would have a made up D&D module cover.

I never played in any of the old DnD module campaigns, but I always found the idea of them very cool, and love looking at the old modules, especially the ones with multiple modules per campaign

With a group of good actors... or hammy ones for that matter...  it can be a lot of fun

Now this seems very intriguing!

Will we get to see more art from the campaign and the goings-on?

Good luck with that.  :)

We're taking a break from the world of Pathfinder for a bit to go back to 2nd Edition Dungeons and Dragons ... the plan is to get the characters up to a decent level for the Bloodstone Mines.

Oooh very old school. I need to try and finish so I can start posting lore for my own fantasy adventure stories. There's a lot to do. I don't know how Gary Gygax does it! But then again even with my super hero series of Solar Girl, I am one man try to do all the work of Marvel/DC. (Minus drawings because reasons.)

Love the cover! I also like that you have a nice multipart campaign going.

The group I GM for just finished one of my campaigns right before the year ended, set in the Egyptian setting Har'akir (in the dread realm of Ravenloft). A long story of birth, death, and rebirth involving four PCs (a Kenku rogue, a Tiefling sorceress, an Air Genasi Paladin, a human Ranger, and a human Fighter/Cleric) and a storyline in which a nigh-immortal priestess of Set tormented them for over a 1,000 years...and six different lives. Twas fun to GM, and equally as satisfying to complete :)

Nice.

I like a very grounded setting. I'm not into high fantasy with everyone running around on dragon mounts, elves and orcs all over. Strangely my players all chose to be humans.

We have a Magic User and his fighter retainer, the kings assassin and a samurai who escorted a princess to the kings son to seal an alliance

Sounds like you have a very good, well-rounded group.

Though GM'ing is fun, I prefer to be a player myself. I tend to play holy rollers usually-Clerics and Paladins are my favorite classes to play. Fighters are fun, as are Barbarians. Wizards and Sorcerers are ok, though not a priority for me. Bards I like because they have access to knowledge that isn't normally attainable. I've yet to try a Druid (which could be fun).

So many character concepts, so little time ;)

Very true. My best character was my Barbarian

My first breakout character was in 2nd Ed. She was a Cleric of Thor named Vallah Freyjavik, and she was a blast to play (Heck, I might ask you to draw her one of these days ;) )

My highest level character was Samaj Knortnik, Paladin of Heironeous and Knight-Protector of the Realm. I retired him after level 20 (that campaign went on for two years, I believe).

Currently, I am enjoying playing Clarissa, Tiefling Paladin of Tyr (who I based off of Clare from the Claymore anime).

Interesting.

My Barbarian was Merimesh... his claim to fame was he and a few other high level characters went to the first plane of hell and slayed Tiamat to rescue a friend who had been imprisoned there.

My Elven Fight, Thief , MU died after playing a version of Lord of the Rings
