so  many of us are waiting for her to be handed that jar, and she'll look at it and ask "what is this?"  :D

fantastic image of the greatest Orville character.

The show is way better than it should have been.

I think it's because it strays from being a comedy for more then 50% of the show

Too bad those pickles aren't sealed by a heavy metal door.  She'd have it open in seconds. :)

Awesome pic, Inspector! I love The Orville but while everyone's gaga over Alana I like Kelly more. Must have been that failed Wonder Woman pilot she did. Adrianne Palicki looked VERY good in the (proper) WW outfit!

I only ever saw "PR" stills where it looked like she was wearing a costume that was too cheap for Target to sell, and had that "where will you be when your laxative cuts in?" expression.

Nope, she wears the classic pantless version later in the episode.

Nicely done

Just as the best Star Trek movie is Galaxy Quest, the best Star Trek series currently is The Orville.

I'l waiting until Discovery is finished then binging it. From what I've seen though, I can't see how they'll make it fit in with canon.

In the episode, Kim's main enemy was having serious issues opening a pickle jar.  It took his henchwoman...oops, evil assistant (who was turned good) to be turned back to evil to open the jar.

Thanks for the good news.  No back nine, but a new season - that they will start work on soon.  And with little or no cast loss.

Well, if she can’t open the jar, they can always get Bortas to just eat the lid.

Funniest moment(s) for me has been Isaac's "practical joke" on Malloy.

I was hooked from day one. As long as the show acknowledges how related/close is to the original trek I think it works. And the Macfarlane humor always works with me

True, the humor is not too distracting, and makes the show fun :)

My problem with the Orville is that is IS Star Trek... and I think it needs it's own voice. Discovery... I just don't think is Star Trek... not my TOS anyway

I thought of it as a sort of homage to the way Star Trek was presented in the past.  It's like Star Trek in presentation, but I think it is slowly creating it's own mythology.

The big difference between Orville and Discovery is that Discovery will always be held up to past Star Trek shows and be judged.  Orville has a chance to shine in its own way once it gets past season 1.  CBS tries to hard to abandon TOS style, trying to be dark and edgy rather than what Trek was meant to be.  Orville is so familiar as a Trek show, but it has the potential to become its own thing like Babylon 5.  Time will tell for both shows how they evolve.
