I woke up to my alarm going off and quickly turned it off. It was really early in the morning, not even 5 A.M. yet. I got dressed wearing a T-shirt and swim trunks, then I made a quick breakfast and headed out the door.
I walked to beach, with it still being dark outside, technically the beach was closed but I wanted to get my training in. I wanted to be a lifeguard but I didn’t feel like I was quite ready to become one yet. So I’ve been coming to the beach really early in the morning to get training in.
I arrived at the beach, you could hear the ocean and barely see the sand from the street lights. I took off my shoes and shirt and ran to the water, I swam out, not too far since I knew it was dangerous to swim at night then I swam back and forth for about fifty laps. I then got out of the water and did one hundred pushups. After that it was time for me to start running.
I got down into position and ran down the whole length of the beach, I felt like I was really good at running, so it was a good thing that I ran when no one else was out, I’d hate to accidentally run into anyone.
It started to get brighter with the sun peaking over the horizon “Okay…one more lap and I’ll get going.” I said to hype myself up.
I started on the last lap, then halfway through I felt a huge jolt of pain like something stabbed me in the heel of my foot. I heard a deep male voice say “You have been chosen” it sounded like it was in my head so I ignored it as I shouted in pain.
“Ow!” I shouted holding my foot. “What the hell was that?!” I exclaimed, and sat in the sand.
I looked where I felt something stab me and saw something wooden poking out. “Something like this shouldn’t be sitting half buried on the beach.” I said and pulled the part sticking out, but my heart sank when I did. It was a wooden carving of a pillar with a water drop on top, the water drop’s point is what I stepped on. “Oh no.” I knew what it was it was a transformation carving it looked like it was a water type one, this was worrying there were plenty that were fish…I didn’t want to end up as a fish, I couldn’t be a lifeguard if I was one. “Maybe…maybe it’s not real, like someone made it and buried it in the sand as a practical joke. Yeah…haha very funny whoever you are, you really got me with this thing.” I said with a fake laugh trying to make myself feel better. However no matter what I did I just knew it wasn’t a joke…I took a deep sigh and tried to mentally prepare myself for what would happen next.
Just then I started to feel odd, my skin felt sort of dry and I looked at my arms and saw they were growing blue scales on the outside and cream colored scales on the inside, my chest was growing cream colored scales while my back was growing blue scales. I stood up and watched…at a loss as to what to do, that’s when a ton of weight hit my back and I almost fell backwards onto my back, only to catch myself and fall forward instead. I looked back and saw a grey shell on my back, it started to get bigger and bigger with cylindrical points coming off of it. My body then felt like it was getting pumped up becoming bigger and wider, as my swim trunks ripped to pieces. Next my hands and arms started to hurt and I watched my fingers fuse together and my arm reshape into a flipper. Then my feet and legs hurt in a similar way…but I couldn’t see them…but I knew they must’ve become flippers like my arms. There was a pop and snap in my hips as I felt my posture change, then I felt a slight pull at my tailbone.
There was sudden pain at my groin like someone with big boots started to kick me over and over “AHHH!” I screamed out as I heard my voice go up some octaves.
My throat burned as my neck popped with my neck starting to elongate, becoming long and flexible. My skull started to hurt as I heard awful crunching and popping noises. My nose and mouth stretched out into a rounded blue snout. My hair fell out as I felt my ears move higher on my head and swirl in on themselves. Then pain hit my forehead and I could just make out a short dull blue horn. My mind then filled with information like how to move, how to use moves, instincts all followed by the word Lapras.
I looked at my body “Great just great…” I then noticed my voice “Wait…why does my voice sound like that…I sound like a…” I then realized what that pain was “so I don’t only lose my humanity but my gender too.” This was really embarrassing, I shouldn’t have come out here so early.
I looked to the ocean…at least I was pretty much there. I started to turn myself toward the ocean, but it was slow and difficult to do. I then tried to get to the ocean before people started to show up…but sadly I was only halfway there by the time people started to show up, which was only more embarrassing.
“Hey look a Lapras!” a young boy sad as he and another younger boy ran over to me and jumped on my back.
“HEY!” I shouted…but it did kind of feel nice having people on my back.
The boy’s father saw my drag lines which did lead to my torn trunks. “Boys get off of him! He just transformed.”
“Awe the poor dear.” The woman who was with them said.
“Come on let’s help you get into the water.” The man said and started to push.
More people and Pokemon showed up and they helped push me into the water. I finally felt much better now that I wasn’t beached. Someone in the meantime called the police with the situation so the police showed up with forms, and a Pokemon officer to fill them out for me, a Raichu that floated on it’s tail.
The Raichu got to the question about living in the wild or staying a part of society. “So do you want to live in the wild or…”
“What do you think? Look at me, how am I supposed to stay a part of society like this?” I asked in an annoyed tone.
“Actually you still could.” A Poliwrath who helped push me in “I work for the Coast Guard, and we are always looking for new Pokemon members. A Lapras would be great help.”
“But I wouldn’t be able to go home like this.” I said.
“We have private docks that we own and they are very spacious, you can live there.” The Poliwrath said.
I thought about it for a moment, it was actually a few steps up from being a lifeguard, so I might as well take it. “Okay you have yourself a deal.”
“Good to have you, names Oscar and you are…” the Poliwrath said.
“Oh…well my name is Alexander…I got gender flipped. You can just call me Alex.” I said.
“So put you down as being a part of society?” The Raichu asked.
“Yeah.” I said.
I then got my “Rage Virus” vaccine and then Oscar showed me to the Coast Guard private docks. I met with the boss and they were willing to give me a shot.
It’s been a three weeks since then and I do work for the Coast Guard, mostly just carrying the other officers around as a more stealthy unit that doesn’t make much noise. I don’t mind, I actually enjoy having people ride on my back…part of the Lapras instincts. It’s mostly peaceful, there wasn’t much that we did for the first couple of weeks, but then two days ago there was a drug deal happening out on the water, they tried to escape when they saw us coming but I used Ice Beam to keep their boats in place. I really enjoy this, and I guess turning into a Lapras was a blessing in disguise.
Pokemon Valley Transformation
Team Go-Getters Out of the Gate!
Mistys Psyduck Plight
This was requested by dragor21 who wanted their character Alexander to turn into a female Lapras. I hope you like it.
Pokemon is the property of Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures.
Unique take on transformation I love how Alexander's dream of being a lifeguard actually led him to an even more fitting role with the Coast Guard! The way the story shows both the initial horror of transformation and then the gradual acceptance is really well done. now that Alex has been a Lapras for a few weeks as she started to notice any other instinctual changes beyond enjoying having riders like different food preferences or ways of thinking?
