The Balls Falls area once belonged to a wealthy family who owned a farm and a mill along the river. The farms and houses near the Lower Falls are well protected and preserved while the mill, which was shut down after the family left, fell into ruin. This is what's left of the old mill and it's a common place where hikers and other people go while walking to the Upper Falls. I caught a picture of someone in the doorway of the old ruins, but don't tell him that I took his picture.
