Hey! Innocence here?

I kinda do owe it to explain how all of this works now, don’t I?

Inside Omni, there’s all the little universes within. The more risqué universes are handled by Wrath, Pride, Sloth, and Dark. Don't let their names fool you. They're actually good beings, through and through. I vouch for them even if they've made a lot of bad mistakes. They sit in the corner of the realms and keep thoughts more extreme than themselves out by any means necessary.

Not they don’t have weird little exclaves outside of mental space where they have disproportionate amounts of psychological power. They don’t like having them, but if they do it’s because it’s easy enough to defend and worthwhile to protect themselves.

If you’ve ever read that bit from Battleworld, it’s kinda like that. Except I don’t actually intervene in all these fanon universes inside of my head. And even as the oldest one of the five, even though by countenance myself I would be the youngest, I’m not one for intervening in the matters of the other four. We had set borders with permeable magical walls when we first came into existence in the Vessel’s head. I kinda don’t want to know what goes on in the rest of the mind, so I toggle omniscience off, wipe most of it from my mind, and leave it to them. I do write notes to myself and I’m aware of what they actually do though.

My powers? Inside of the vessel’s mind, as much as the neurotransmitters inside his brain will allow, so basically infinite. I’m given the largest share of the pie, and the other four have a fairly good fraction. Combined, we are his soul. But due to how it works in reality, his actions are a weighted average of all of ours. And if one of us burns out, the others cover.

Let me like, spit out a few thoughts so we can have a back and forth inside my head.

“Hurk!” I spit out, a bit of magical essence coming out and solidifying into the facsimile of a person.

“So, Innocence, I’ve been meaning to ask.”

“Yeah?” I replied, nodding my head quietly and gently.

“How do you handle stuff you don’t want to see?”

“Oh. Even when omniscience is turned on, I kinda have SFW filters on at all times. Everything within my mindscape is actually fairly cute and tame, cleaned up a little bit because I don’t really wanna see that stuff. The stuff that’s more within their control is also, pretty tame to begin with. For a thought to turn into an idea and to turn into something in my head, we have to agree by committee or it has to pass through a set of guidelines. So I’m already toning something down that’s fairly, y’know, inoffensive. Personal preference. But, I ‘yam what I yam and that’s all that I yam’.”

“What about the stuff that’s a little contradictory within these little fanon worlds?”

I thought quietly as I tried to remember the mechanics.

“Well, before the canon settled, we used to have all these little multiverses. When the Vessel was undergoing his teen years, and Lust and Wrath were a little more powerful than Dark, they’d deal with all of these alternate versions of ourselves. Y’know, parallel worlds, a council of the most prominent and ostentatious, quirky timelines out in front.”

“What happened to them?”

“They retired to the ether of our mind after they had their time. The vessel grew up and became one person. I’m sure if I imagine something I can pull them out of the ether or something, but there was a long-haired version of the vessel who often acted rebellious, a few genderbent versions, some older ones too. I might be innocent, but I’m not dumb enough to know what happens when you like, age up in those years and see fictional characters before they get localized into your canon. It’s only natural to imagine scenarios with them as you’re growing up, drafts of what you could become.”

“What happened to the other characters?”

“They found a place to settle in the mindscape as an OC or became a more imaginary fanon universe. We don’t like intervening in any of their business, but part of the agreement for them to settle in is that our word is law, not that we don’t have basically infinite power here ‘nyways.”

The little ghost I summoned shimmered before he asked me another question.
“How are you guys doing?”

“Same old. I don’t really care what happens as long as I’m happy in the moment. The others used to worry about the future a lot more, but they’ve grown up, and Sloth likes lounging around in his tiny mental space with a fridge. We call it the guest room because it’s a break room that sometimes becomes a moving black-and-white sketch.”

“Anyways, would you like to go into the world?”

“I dunno if I’m an intrusive thought. I think I’m going to re-merge with you, Inno, if that’s okay.”

“Hm. Seems like you haven’t picked up everything from the others. We generally like a rule that the overwhelming majority of reabsorbed essence has to be something kinda similar to us, which is why we don’t absorb every idea out in the wild.”

“Sure.”

I outstretched my hand, and in an instant, the little idea folded itself back into me.

Innocence awakens from his slumber and decides that he owes the audience a little explanation of in-universe mechanics.
