FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Please, read below before PMing me, you might find the answer (^^)

MATERIAL

:bulletblue: What software do you use for illustration?
Clip Studio Paint EX (by Celsys).

:bulletblue: What software do you use for B&W and mangas?
ComicStudio EX 4.0 (by Celsys). There's also an English version called MangaStudio translated by Smith Micro.

:bulletblue: What tablet do you use?
Wacom Cintiq 27QHD and Cintiq Companion when I'm on a trip.

:bulletblue: Any traditional tools?
No, I make everything digital.

TECHNIQUE

:bulletblue: What is your technique for...?
I'm making tutorials on YouTube with some of my techniques:
www.youtube.com/user/InmaPolli…
:bulletblue: What resolution do you use for your pics?
Mainly 350dpi when it's color and 600dpi when it's B&W.

:bulletblue: How do you write stories?
I usually start trying to make an interesting character, and then think of a whole story about them. Sometimes I start with the end, sometimes with the middle... But when I'm moreless sure of what I want to do in general, I write down a somehow detailed summary of the whole story (I sometimes divide it in chapters).

:bulletblue: How do you make those pattern/lace backgrounds?
I buy materials that allow me to have a commercial licence. These go from patterns to brushes, objects, etc. You might find free resources online, but since I use them for commercial stuff (commissions, etc.), most of the time I have to buy them because free resource makers don't usually give you permission to user them in commercial works (which is totally understandable).

REQUEST

:bulletblue: Do you draw art requests?
No.

:bulletblue: Do you accept art trades?
No.

:bulletblue: Do you draw commissions?
Yes: fav.me/d3u9qkc

:bulletblue: Can we work on a manga project together?
No, sorry. I make my own stories, I don't feel comfortable working on someone else's story. I did once, but aside from that special case I'm not going to do it ever again.

:bulletblue: Can you look at my pics/gallery/manga and tell me your opinion?
My opinion is extremely pointless. I don't have the heart to point out other people's mistakes even when I see them, so I wouldn't be able to help you at all. That's why I don't take this kind of request, I'm sorry!

PERSONAL

:bulletblue: Any inspiration source?
When I need inspiration I search around Pixiv.
Aside from that, I have some favourite artists: Yoneyama Mai, POPQN, Hieihirai, MikaPikazo, KyoAni, Yooani, Shirow Miwa, Aoi Levin,  etc,

:bulletblue: How long do you take to draw a pic?
It depends on the pic. Since I usually work on more than one pic at a time, it's very hard to calculate.

:bulletblue: Do you have some working schedule?
I try to work whenever I'm home.

:bulletblue: Do you think one can live from drawing?
Yes, but it's a very hard path and you must be ready to work hard and give up on many things, so I always recommend having a second choice available just in case.

:bulletblue: Did you go to an arts school?
No, I learnt on my own (and still learning through practice).

:bulletblue: Have you ever published an original manga?
Yes. 3x1 Renewal (Nowevolution), O.U.T (Norma Editorial) and Revenge of the Queen (self-published).

:bulletblue: Can we be friends?
Friendship can't be forced, it usually happens naturally. It feels a bit awkward when friendship comes in the shape of a request.

:bulletblue: How old are you?
I was born in some year (not saying which~) during the decade of the 80's.

:bulletblue: How long have you been drawing for?
All my life, which should have made me a better illustrator by now *hides*

You're self taught? That's amazing considering the pieces you create. You really do have some talent that's for sure. ^^
