Leafus

Name: Leafus ( Combination of the word leaf and the scientific name of the Hare, which is Lepus. Leaf + Lepus = Leafus ). In groups, they are called Leafers

Age: They can live up to 60 in captivity. In the wild, they live up to 20, depending on how good they are at surviving.

Locomotion: Quadrupedal.

Size: On the back legs they can stand up to 2-3 m. And on all four they are 1,8 -1,9.

Appearance: They appear as giant hares with large antlers. They come in different shades of green ( Depending on where they live). Their front limbs are normal hare paws, while their back limbs are elk feet. From head to tail, they are covered in leaf-like plates, which are soft to the touch, just like fur. Males are the only ones that have leaf manes and large antlers, while the females don't possess leaf manes and have smaller antlers. And they have long pointy front teeth that can be used for combat or eating.

Colors: Since in Appearance, it is stated that they come in different shades of green depending on where they live. By that, it means that Leafers that live in open green areas, such as meadows, come in lighter green shades, while Leafers in thick forest areas come in darker shades of green.

Diet: These large rodents are herbivores and will eat any plant they can get their paws on, wheater it is hard or soft.

Habitat: They can be found in various green areas such as meadows, thick forests, jungles, etc. But most can be found in the forest kingdom, and rarely in the swamp kingdom.

Problems: There are some problems with the species, one of which is that they can ruin crops and even other habitats. They are known for accidentally destroying villages while galloping or eating the huts. Luckily they don't breed like rabbits, and only breed during mating season, which happens once every year.

Domestication: Only 30 % of the species are domesticated. The domesticated ones are used by the forest elementals ( Spriggans ) for riding, pulling wagons, food, etc.

Subspecies: There is a subspecies of Leafers called Aridus ( Arider in groups ), these creatures are smaller and are native to the earth kingdom, they live in deserts, outbacks, canyons, and any rocky/dry places.
