Flying away!

Nightstrike and the swamp harrier kept on looking at each other. He knew that he had to be quick to get the knife. But, he knew that if he moved one inch, that would alert the bird to fly away.

He thought about it for a moment. He thought that maybe the bird was a slow flyer and that he would catch it easy. But, as he thought about that, the bird then moved its wings. It was ready to fly away. This made Nightstrike react, and he made one mistake of yelling out "HEY!!" , which alerted the bird to take flight.

The swamp harrier flew away. Nightstrike quickly turned into his beast form and followed the bird. Since the beast form was faster and stronger than his normal form.

He ran after the bird. Jumping, to snap at it. But the bird only avoided it by flying higher. While he was running after the bird, he didn't notice that he was leaving the area and heading towards the swamp kingdom. He was focused on the bird. Not knowing that the bird was leading him to a restricted area.
