Exalted 05 pg08

Kidale has been backed into a corner by the pursuing Dragon-Blood, and his partner Faka Kun is nowhere to be seen. I had a little difficulty with this page due to a lack of reference (I had a character lineup and some previous issues to work from), which manifested in the shape of Kidale's sword... I took too much design leeway and we ended up having to correct it in the color phase (and later pages), but the version I did originally remains visible here.

I also wasn't exactly sure what the "Simhata" was supposed to look like, so I took some liberties there as well. I like to add detail when I can, even on a rush job, so rather than just labeling the cage I tried to get a little creative with the banner on the wall, instead. This is one of those places where comparing what I did to what will be ultimately published in the upcoming Exalted collection from Udon Comics ought to be neat, 'cause there's some latitude with interpretation.
