Space Girl

I had the inspiration for this after listening to:…

Just a scifi/fantasy concept I thought up about a space-faring girl who tends to sick/injured galactic creatures. The animals feed on starlight, so are basically solar powered. Particularly big ones are so powerful they can claim a star as their own, and wrap themselves around it's outer parts.
This girl explores the universe along with her big brother, seeking out creatures to care for and adventures to be had. A slumbering cosmic power is yet to be discovered by them.

The space background was made through the use of a plethora of Photoshop effects. Find out how to make something like it here:…

First off: It looks amazing. The background is one of the best I've ever seen and the aliens look incredible and creative and ou can really see the inspiration of animals come through. This piece definitely looks like it took time and effort. The colours work perfectly and it really gives the impression of the vastness of space. Well done!

My only real complaint is the description. You said it was a girl healing alien creatures with her brother, but it doesn't have substance or logic, so the audience doesn't really care. We haven't seen this character before so we don't get invested. It would make more sense if you said it was a dream, as that would take into account the lack of spacesuit. But this is only a minor complaint.

Overall, aesthetically, it's definitely one of your best pieces.

I'm going to start on negative, just so that i can end it on a positive note

You say that the story is that the girl explores the universe looking for creatures and connects with them and heals them. I don't see a lot of that in the drawing itself. I see a girl fascinated with the universe's creatures around her and not really doing a lot. I would like to see more of a connection between her and the creatures.

On a positive note, the creatures are well designed and quite fascinating, I myself would like to get to know them. The background is absolutely stunning and well put together, well done!

This looks pretty cool! I really liked the background; it's nice to see color in space. Also, the space critters that float around the girl are adorable! My question though: are the creatures based on anything or you've made them up? Speaking of the girl, the construction of her is great: she's bright, clean, and looks like fun to have space adventures!

But, if I have one complaint, it would be: how is the girl still alive? Seriously, how is she still floating in space without getting burned or frozen? But, this is all nitpicking; very pedantic nitpicking.

All around, great job!

This is a truly beautiful piece of artwork. I love the activity and the sense of wonder throughout the entire thing.

However, given the laws of space, she should either be frozen solid or baked to a crisp by the sun's radiation without a proper suit.

The space creatures are so cute (^w^) They remind me of the Pokémon Espeon for some odd reason though.

Regardless, I want to cuddle them!!

How is she not suffocating? That helmet doesn't look like it's attached to anything. And how is her body not freezing? (I am awaiting the 'it's a dream' answer.)

Aww, look at THIS one! *pets floating creature*

Ship AI: I don't recommend that.

Why not? It's adorable!

Ship AI: Indeed it is, because it's just a baby.

*much larger, more dangerous variant of creature approaches*

*girly scream*

Ship AI: I assume that is the mother. I shall also assume that the helium is too high in your air mixture, in order to preserve your sense of masculinity. Recommend full thrusters immediately.

THANK YOU! *fires thrusters*

A stellar piece, and a fascinating concept! Although, I AM curious as to what kind of tech she's utilizing to be able to survive in space with what appears to be ONLY a helmet. Shock I can think of a few possibilities...personal force field, transparent exodermal coating, limited atmospheric generation, holographic simulation/telepresence, she's an android/cyborg, she's somehow evolved/engineered to survive in a space vacuum with only an air supply for a time. Or, in the words of the Fiery Joker, I'm just taking this too seriously...

XD It was just meant to look cute and artsy, but I'm sure her helmet projects a personal pressurized field. ;)

Scifi concept? I thought at first it was a reference to either Splatoon or Pokemon, because of those aquatic looking creatures everywhere.

Also, kinda reminds me of Toy Story combined with Portal 2's Space Core.

Anyway, this is simply beautiful. Really, your art is a never ending trail of surprise and variety, which I absolutely admire! A scifi/fantasy concept was certainly not what I was expecting by just looking at the picture. Creating because you can, based on originality and inspiration? I overall personally feel you as officially the new Picasso, Ink. Your art never fails to capture my interest, always has some new unique style, and has a zest and flavor I can taste that not many pieces of art give me. Keep being creative, Ink. :)
