Light of the Sunset

This last year I’ve gotten to know a beautiful, talented, amazing girl, and I immersed myself in her books, two of which is published in Norwegian. These two are characters from her yet unpublished work, with whom I fell instantly in love, so much so I decided to sketch and paint this illustration of them. I worked on this from September 2021 to January 2022, my biggest free-hand painting I’ve ever done, and it was really fun and challenging! ☺️

I can’t wait to read the future projects of Anniken Steinarsdottir, and if you know Norwegian and love fantasy and LGBTQ+ fiction I highly recommend it! 🤩 She's really been a huge support and also a great inspiration for my own author-journey, and I’m so grateful for all her support! 🙏🏻❤️

This is an oil-painting, if you follow me on IG you know I started renting a studio in November of 2021, and has been getting into oil-painting again, happily. I'll post my new paintings as well, and hope for inspiration for even more in the time to come! Let me know what you think of this, I painted it from a sketch, with little to no references, so not everything is correct, so bear with me! ☺️
