Hey guys, just wanted to apologize for being on hiatus for so long. This year has been a crazy one of ups and downs, and it's still only halfway through!
I've begun the arduous task of transferring my dA stuff from this account to my new handle, zippertan. The bad news is that it's going to take a while, but the good news is that I've finally found a cosplay/artist name I want to stick with. Please bear with me as I transfer my deviations.
Thanks for all of the support over the years, guys!
Love,
Nicki

March: OPEN for Commissions!!!
Hey everybody, I'm open for commissions! You can check out my anime and videogame galleries to get an idea of my work and style. The majority of my work is fanart, but I can also draw original characters upon request. I also do portraits of you in an anime style, which is really popular among my customers. Pricing depends on the complexity of the drawing and whether or not you want it colored, but be assured it'll be affordable. Just shoot me a note if you're interested!
I also wanted to thank everyone in the past few months who have started watching my page and 'favoriting' my work. It doesn't take much to favorite someone's work or c
I think people are taking things too seriously these days. It's important to be serious at times, but never too serious. When things are taken too seriously, they stop being fun.
Thus, I've decided to add a folder of photography randomness that has made me laugh throughout my travels. I don't believe any of the pictures need any explanation, and if they do...Go ask your mum.
Cheers!

AFO 2009 and an Epiphany
Anime Festival Orlando 2009 was alot of fun this year, but it's a fun convention in general. I went to the con looking forward to seeing alot of awesome friends who I haven't seen in a long time, and ironically enough, I ended up hanging out with alot of cool new people that weekend. I saw a few of my central/northern Florida friends, but I missed some of them completely or didn't see them until the end of the con on Sunday. The weekend was full of little ironies like that. I also saw people I used to hang out with but don't really hang out with anymore...They looked the same, and it made me wonder if they've stayed the same over the past
YasumiCon 2009 was this weekend and I had a great time! I got to finally see Blazblue in person (since I only have a Wii) and it looked like a pretty fun fighting game. It was great to finally see those new character designs moving around and kickin' arse. I even bought stuff in the Dealer's Room, which has recently become a rarity for me because I've gotten so picky about what I spend my money on. I gave in and finally bought the Halloween Town Sora figure and I also picked up a wicked (and really cheap!) Brooke from One Piece! I was very pleased with both of those purchases.
The best part of the con was seeing old friends I hadn't see
