I am constantly looking for new ways to approach art using new tools and mediums. I don't specialize in any particular form of media, but lately I have been favoring photography and painting. I utilize art as a way to channel creative energies that don't always have applications in my work/professional life.
"Are you depressed? You've been putting out a lot of dark stuff lately." My fiance is right, I'm not real sure what's been up lately. Especially on the photo manipulation front, things have been coming out really dark lately. I'm going to make a conscious decision to focus more on the nature stuff, and maybe incorporate some modern/urban/city themes into my gallery. Ah well, everybody goes through phases... and when your work is eclectic I guess you end up with things that may not necessarily appeal to every taste. Today I took the time to rearrange and reclassify the galleries. I struggle with a lot of what I post, because they are a little too edited for me to really consider them "photography" but not quite as extreme as to have them properly classified as "photomanipulations." So, rather than classifying the groups by medium, I'm going to try and classify them more by subject matter. The "Paintings" gallery still exists, but now the majority of the work has been split up into "Animals and Nature" versus "People and Portraits." There will also be galleries that are more thematic like the "Ghosts of Hill House" collection which
