This release, along with the new and improved MP3 decoder (goodbye to Nitrane), includes a new revision to its popular visual plugin AVS. The biggest improvement to AVS, besides overall speed, is the new Blitter Filter for blitter effects. It makes the creation of Geiss like visual effects easier to develope. This is most likely the last release of Winamp, until it's next generation of MP3 players, Winamp-3.
