Triumph Of Christianity

Description

The work was inspired by Dali’s Temptation (Temptation of St. Anthony)

The black creature represents the mausoleum with the cross, and aspects of demons and devils from christianity’s symbolism. It’s the ugly face of christianity that casts a shadow in the shape of a cross, on the naked man which represents the vision of the perfect christian follower, a man who belives in the myths of one religion without questioning them and bowing to the image of this religion, when actualy it has a pretty ugly shape. A god that kills innocents, creates wars, is arogant and has ugly human caracteristics thruout the bible, ready to send people who dont bow to him in eternal fire, represented on this earth by corupted priests that have no right to mediate the relation between humans and spirituality.

The white creature represented by the Arch of Triumph is the symbol of the victory of this religion over the large masses, who actually don’t really know what they are worshiping. The creatures share a visual contact like two hidious lovers.

Yea, that description of Christianity is what atheists think we're all about, this is by no means an insider's account. This description of Christianity is like reading about a totally different religion for me.

This dark face of Christianity which you speak of;

  1. THE KILLING OF INNOCENTS: The people God had killed are 'innocent' in your eyes only. God is the origin of morality, the origin of the concept of righteous standards. What God says, goes. To declare someone innocent, you have to have a concept of morality; without God, there is no morality. You only have morals because of a religious societal culture; if you were raised from birth out in the wilderness, isolated and alone, you would not be inherently moral. Give thanks to religion, friend, without it we'd have no morality at all. Without God, there is not even a need for morality; there would just be this life, flesh and nothing else. Give thanks that, even though people reject God, they don't reject most of His moral code because they were raised to live by them; such as 'do not steal', 'do not murder', 'do not lie', 'do not hate', etc. Be very thankful you don't live in a world where no one has morals; God instilled these morals in society. Religion's done way more good than you give us credit for, but lately people have rejected God en masse, and, well, no surprise but morality is going down too; most people don't care if they lie, hate or steal. People live to benefit themselves alone. That's what a Godless world looks like. God or no God, nobody should want that.

  2. THE WARS: The wars were caused by the Catholic church, which in turn also killed MANY Christians, believers like me. There's a difference between Christianity and Catholicism; Catholicism was formed around the year 300 AD, by merging paganism and Christianity together. God never told us to fight those wars, that was nothing but political Catholicism. Read your Bible, don't blame God for what people choose to do of their own accord.

  3. GOD'S ARROGANCE: God is perfect, therefore He deserves to be able to be arrogant. He rightfully can be. Humans are always imperfect, so that's what makes arrogance among humans so insulting.

  4. GOD'S 'UGLY HUMAN CHARACTERISTICS': I'm not sure how He has these. It sounds like this is just your interpretation of His behavior, not something actually based in Scripture.

  5. THE 'READY TO SEND PEOPLE TO HELL' THING: Sure, yes, people will go to Hell if they reject God. But is that all you got out of the Bible? That's so vague compared to what the Bible actually says. In reality, God doesn't will that anyone go to Hell, God literally took human form and sacrificed Himself, AND went to Hell for a few days, to take our punishment so we don't have to. He loves us, yet still gives people the right to reject Him; would you rather God force everyone to live in His presence if they don't want Him? With how many people clearly have 'religious trauma' and get physically ill at the mention of God, there are many who don't want Him (albeit, usually only because of misconceptions about Him that they learned from church or parents; the reason they hate Him usually isn't even for true Biblical reasons, just how they were specifically raised). Would God be just forcing everyone under the sun to be with Him and to serve Him? No. And He doesn't. But, the only place for someone who hasn't had their sins cleansed by receiving Jesus' salvation to go is out of God's presence, since SIN cannot enter God's presence. The only place that God's presence isn't is in Hell. Thus that's the only place an unsaved person can go. That said, hell is only so horrible BECAUSE God isn't there; God didn't have to do much to create Hell, all He did was remove His presence and it was automatically the way it is today; you see, God is the embodiment of Love and all that is good. When you remove Goodness entirely, you are left with just Badness; that's Hell. So, you don't want God? You should love Hell, because God is not there. Hate God? You'll love the place that represents everything that is the opposite of God. In short, people willingly choose Hell by rejecting God; trust me, they do, many atheists have told me that they look forward to it, and to 'just let them go to Hell'. People want it, God wouldn't even have to force people to go to Hell, everyone makes a choice, and they want it. The way to Heaven is simple; EPHESIANS 2:8 - "God's grace has saved you because of your faith in Christ. Your salvation doesn't come from anything you do. It is God's gift.". And that's it. Believe on Jesus and you'll be saved. NO righteous act will earn you salvation, it is only by faith anyone can be saved. And people reject that.

  6. CORRUPTED PRIESTS: Well, this part I agree with. Christianity has no priests, so I'm not really for whatever the Catholic church is doing. It's a strictly Catholic thing that you mentioned. I can't give much of an opinion, except that the Bible says that Jesus Christ is the ONLY mediator between God and mankind (1 Timothy 2:5), and there's no other. We have no need for popes or priests; Jesus does His job just fine. The only time the word "priest" is mentioned in the Bible is in reference to Jewish priests. Otherwise, the title of priest isn't mentioned for a Christian; we're all encouraged to teach people about God in some way, some preach, some make art to help people, etc, we all have niches, all with the same end goal in mind. You don't have to be a special rank to share Jesus with people.

As a bonus note, I actually think gharials and other crocodillians are beautiful animals <3
