Translated as earth spider. These giant chimerical arachnids have been encountered by several warriors. Including the first emperor Jimmu who encountered one which is said to be an interpretation of the Emeshi people he conquered. They can shapeshift and weave powerful illusions in their web. Minamoto No Raiko has not only slain one but several tsuchigumo along with the dreaded oni king "Shuten Doji".
