Sarugami 

Monkey spirits that were once worshiped as gods and their wicked nature lead them to become fallen gods. Most of their interactions with humans end in violence. As one would expect from primates, they are very unpredictable. They often kidnap women or cause havoc forcing samurai to hunt them down.
