Minimoto Yorimitsu

Minimoto Yorimitsu was one of the most highly respected of Kyoto's royal guard. Legend says that Yorimitsu and his fellow mercenaries raided Shūten Dōji's palace by drugging his oni army and beheaded Shūten Dōji putting his chaos to an end. A while later when all the oni were thought to be exterminated, Yorimitsu received word that an Oni has been spotted in the capitol. Yorimitsu and his men mounted on their horses and searched for this illusive oni. In a fog Yorimitsu felt a hand grab onto him and he severed the oni's arm off. The oni fled and was rarely seen since. No word came regarding the surviving oni.
