Summer is almost over, I had the chance to take a lot of pictures.
From the little bit of money I earned during my internship I bought myself a new camera, a Canon 1100D, my first DSLR. It's the cheapest DSLR you can get, but it does a great job for its price. Taking pictures with a DSLR is a really great feeling, I just can't stop. :)
I'll still use my old Powershot as long as it works, because it is a really good camera, takes nice pictures and has the advantage of being light. For some things, like hiking and climbing, a DSLR, even a small one like mine, can be too bulky and heavy.
Anyway, the new camera is even more motivation to take
I have not been very active on dA recently but now I think I will upload some pictures again. I have recently been to Slovenia, an amazingly beautiful country. I took some nice shots there, already uploaded one, some more to come.
And I'm also going back to Salzkammergut, this time for work, and hope to get some photo opportunities there.

As you quite likely have already heard, there is a devastating famine going on in Somalia. Everyday, lots of people die of hunger and at the moment, it seems to be hard for the helpers to even get there.
The obvious way to help these people is by donating money to an organisation which can bring help to them. It's very important to find an reliable organisation which really uses your money to help the starving people.
