Cherry Waltz II

This piece was created in three major sections. The base is two layers of three inch thick stock laying down laminated together. The top is made in the same way with two layers. The center is two layers laminated together but standing up instead of lying down. The center was then mortise and tenoned into the base and top. Once I had that form built up I stated the initial shaping with a mini chainsaw and then proceeded to the detail carving with die grinders. It was then sanded and finished with a clear polyurethane.
