Lilian Baker always had a fascination with dolls. As her friends moved on as children usually do, she kept her doll collection and routinely expanded it. In university she wrote papers on the comparative development of dolls across different cultures and through the twentieth century. Chinese, Japanese, European, you name it. She became quite an expert on them and ran a website dedicated to various forms of dolls. She developed quite an affinity for Lolita Fashion and the kids in her apartment block came to know "Porcelain Lil" as a regular part of Halloween. After hearing some legends about a mysterious house full of life-sized dolls linked to disappearances allegedly involving people being transformed into Dolls, she decided to spend a couple of vacation days investigating it.
Something in her mind brought her to the House, or it could have been the other way around. She entered, and found the Dolls. She admired the decor and soon found its denizens lying about. She experimented with them, amazed that this place existed. She pulled their pull strings and managed to discern the nature of the facility and held a conversation with them. Eventually they managed to talk her into saying what was on her mind: she wanted to be one of them. With that a couple of Dolls came alive and showed her the way to a closet full of dresses. She chose a nice one in black and put it on, and soon began to see the changes. She sat down in a chair and admired as her skin became white satin. As her transformation neared its conclusion, a Doll named Sally wandered over and told her what she knew in her (now metaphorical) heart as she wept tears of Joy. She had given up on Lilian Baker, soon she would be what she always wanted to be, Lily the Doll.Lily all dolled up
