>w< I first had this idea of like having pawprints and just adding one whenever someone close to me died but I figured they'd look really cluttered afterwards if I have like a lot of them
so when the honeycomb pattern came it was the solution for everything I semi-believe in reincarnation (actually, I believe in the 07 Ghost version of reincarnation lmfao, where a soul gets to make three wishes and once they've fulfilled them in the living world they die and lose their memories and get new wishes for a new life, or at least that's how it went I think lmfao uvu)
So for every person I'd lose, one of the patterns will be filled in (I'm thinking of just doing random colours, maybe watercolour fades from blue to pink or w/e for example instead of just black since black fades over time and I'd have to have the lines redone anyway so it should save me a bit of money on retouching anyway) and I'd gain a honeycomb for their reincarnation and for someone new to fill their place or something like that uvu
Right now, if I did it like this week or w/e, I'd have to have 9 honeycombs and three of them filled in
That sounds beautiful, especially the watercolor fade, maybe maintain your hexagonal shapes but have the watercolor paint texture drip in some places? Unsure, just spewing out thoughts! It sounds like such a wonderful project, taking the things that hurt the most and making them into something beautiful.
I absolutely love it.
I always wanted to get a tattoo in remembrance of my grandmother, but she hated tattoos so it'd be a slap in the face? Pshhhhhhhh lol.
and yea I think my grandmother didn't like it that much either but im pretty much stumped on what else to do in remembrance my brother named his kid after her and my sister is going to marry on her birthday so she died like two days after my birthday so I can't do anything on that date either
So like lmfao the fascination started with like seeing a drawing of BBC Sherlock Holmes as a punk sorta with a honeycomb + bee tattoo and I was like hot damn thats actually pretty cool
So I became fascinated with them and remembered something that my economics teacher said that the honeycomb shape is like the perfect shape of society/economics because it fits in all or something like that ????? like it can just be repeated over and over again and that's why they use that shape to show like city structures (as in economy wise??) in the textbooks or something and im like hot damn thats actually pretty cool
and then I'm like what if like I get a tattoo of like a dozen honeycomb shapes on my shoulderblade and then fill in the blanks for every dear person or animal that ive lost and then add 2 more for every one of those coloured ones so my back would be a tally of the struggles that I faced but reminding me that for every person that I lose I can gain the same person through reincarnation and another new person
