My Bio
Hey, my name's Erik. I've always loved to draw, write, design... pretty much just create, and having the opportunity to share my art with others is fantastic.

The genre that inspires me the most is definitely fantasy, which is pretty obvious! In my works I tend to focus on emotion and reality, even when working on fantastical stories (swords and sorcery mostly :P).

I'm working on a game design portfolio that will hopefully enable me to be hired by a studio as a writer or designer. It's not a simple task, but it's what I know I want to do, without a doubt in my heart.

Hmm.... oh yeah, Iron Maiden kicks ass! UP THE IRONS!!!

Time and time again us artists beat the living hell out of ourselves and our own work. You stare at your art and picture how it would look hanging in a bag of trash right next to last nights Hot Pockets box. When other people walk up to you and go "Wow! That's awesome!" you probably soak that up a little bit as satisfaction for hours of painstaking practice. But along with a 'thanks' comes the inner criticisms and thoughts of general unworthiness. So to ask a simple question... Why do we suck so much? This is a question that has been pondered countless times by every artist alive. I'll take a moment to recognize and agree with the general ...

Here is something we can all see in our lives and those around us. Talented, intelligent people who squander their talent. Why do they make excuses? Good question. I've pondered this many times throughout my experiences. For instance, while modding I'll come across a very intelligent, creative, and seemingly driven person whom I'm excited to work with. What happens after is a few days of talking, weeks of silence, and ultimately nothing gets done. A lot of these times I'll get the (bullshit) 'excuse' "IRL" or "I've been really busy". Stop right there. Let me list a few reasons why these are BS answers.1. You volunteered your time and skill...

Whenever I'd feel down (something fairly rare, but it happens) the one thing regardless of mood that always would help was music. Having most Iron Maiden and Metallica albums on my phone I'd always be able to reset the mood of the day with a simple song. Depending on what caused the situation there'd always be a song for it.My frustrations and sometimes feeling of being alone - Nothing Else Matters Uninspiration - Fear of the Dark, Killers (album), Ride the Lightning (album), ...And Justice for All (album) Sadness - Boston (any song :D), A Matter of Life and Death (album), Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Black AlbumThere's more but I wouldn't want to ...

First set of Dragon Scale I made... I made sure it went to the character that shares your name. Rest in peace, Just wish you could have faced Miraak and Alduin.

Met a guy named Erik in Rorikstead today, thought I'd look him up on the wiki. I'm glad I did, had no idea he was based on a real guy. Rest in peace, good man; you're still remembered in 2022.

Just met Erik in Rorikstead again and learned you have a account here, thought I'd come pay respects. R.I.P my dude, 2021 and you're still remembered :)

Rest peacefully in sovengard, my kinsman brother. I shall give you my best weapons and armor. You deserve the finest ale and the best wenches. Sadly, I missed what would have been your 28th birthday. I'll be back every year to wish you a happy birthday.

Rest in Piece .. my friend.
