So way back in October of 2010 I went on a trip to Japan with my best friend/colleague/partner in crime, . He had a Nikon D70 and was armed with a lowly iPhone 4. Neither of us really had any in-depth knowledge of photography at the time so we had less than optimal results with the pictures and video that we got. Fast forward 2 1/2 years and we're heading back in May. But this time we're equipped with better gear and real knowledge of the craft. He'll be rocking a D7000 (18-50mm, 18-200mm, 35mm), D70, D5000, and Nikon FG. And I'll have a 7D (50mm, 18-50mm), D3100, and Canon AE-1 Program. This time we're going to capture the trip the exact way that we want to the first time. It's going to go down.

My name is Damon, D to the E-O. Okay, I'll stop with the overused Jay-z line. I figured I needed a journal entry, especially since I decided to go premium. A few years back I decided to try my hand at photography, so I got a Canon Digital Rebel XT. I did absolutely nothing with it. By the time I started really getting into photography, the Rebel XT was obsolete. I then bought a Nikon D3100 and started testing the waters. A few months into owning it, I realized its limitations. Thought it over for a bit and bought a Canon 7D, as it's the best of both Video and Photo worlds. It's been no looking back since then. I'll be adding a Canon AE-1 Program to my stable soon and should be flooding my gallery for with both digital and 35mm shots.
