Description
One of the most common myths about having a disability includes not being able to do things. But when it comes to having an invisible disability (like autism), there are people who question the severity of the disabled person's symptoms, only to assume they look 'fine.' As a person on the autism spectrum, I have my own set of challenges. And yet, I've learned to overcome them. Not only does that mean I work hard to accomplish something, but to also prove non-disabled people I can do things.
That's why I think of my life as an odyssey. I've transformed from a child who'd refuse to go into a loud and crowded restaurant to a college student getting ready to graduate. I don't know what the next obstacle will be in the future, but it'll be a door to another milestone I hope to achieve.
(Note: The rainbow infinity symbol represents the diversity of the autism spectrum.)
