No Brights, No Rights: Lorelei Willows

Okay, y'all may know me for Beatrice Birchwood, R.T. Hamilton, and my Who Framed Roger Rabbit fan art. But since I actually want to be an author, I want to try to be as original as possible. I thought of creating my own story after creating my Bedheads cartooning style. As I developed the plot and characters of the story, I created the title. The story is titled as "No Brights, No Rights". The meaning behind the title is explained in the story. 

"No Brights, No Rights" is about a high school student who moves into a new town and discovers that anyone who wears dark-colored clothes do not have the same rights as people wearing bright-colored clothes. So, she participates in her school's script-writing contest so that she can keep her right to have an education, regardless of wearing dark-colored clothes.
 
As you can see from the title of the picture, the girl's name is Lorelei Willows. She is a high school senior and she likes to wear dark-colored clothes. Lorelei hates wearing bright-colored clothes because (SPOILER) her eyes are very sensitive. If her eyes get exposed to too many bright colors, her eyes get watery and irritated.

Many inspirations were used to create Lorelei:

-My second high school's colors: Purple, black, and white. All three of those colors represent some of Lorelei's personality traits.
      -Purple: A combination of a fighter and peace-maker
      -Black: More introverted than extroverted
      -White: Respectful and refuses to be controlled like a puppet; adaptable (usually)

-Appearance: Mix of silent movie actors, 80s goth icons, some of Tim Burton's characters, and grunge girls

-Personification of what I think I'd look like if I dressed in a gothic clothes
