This piece uses a very bright palette of colors but the balance between all the varying hues is artful and prevents any impression of garishness. The colors are soft and painterly yet manage to preserve a sense of light and shadow. The look is stylized, giving it a sense of hyper-reality. The focal points, the subject's eyes are rendered in exquisite detail. The overall impression is very impressive.
I'm left wanting only just a little in two minor areas. The fleur-de-lis motifs are trapped in a parallel plane with the viewer. They don't move and flow with the scarf. I also feel I want just a little more texture in the eyebrows, not much, just subtle addition of texture.
Overall, though, I am highly impressed and have virtually nothing to complain about. Very beautiful work.

I've waited a long time, and worked so hard to get such a comment, thank you so much! I agree with all your comments, and I'm working on a new piece. Actually, these are becoming a series, "women of colour" though, the title is reference to their culture, clothes, jewellery, fabric, y'know C:
its no where near finished yet though, obviously C:

This definitely has such potential, even though it's not finished. Your understanding of faces is so good. I see where you're going with it and I'm excited to see how it'll look when you get it done. The concept is a very intriguing one. I don't know if you're taking suggestions or doing cultures worldwide, but you could try your hand at a drawing a Kayan woman (from Burma). Their ethnic group is the one who wears the tall copper rings around their necks.

Listen , this is just AMAZING! I loved the color! I loved the face and the expressions , I loved the eyes-very much-I loved the line and that the mixing and the blending of the color are not clean, it is special and And it shows originality!!
I love very much the look of the female muslims and when I saw your paint ,all the tradition of the muslims and they language and they is in this paint! and even it make me feel another world - another world that I do not know and I want to get to know, and there is a lot of painting that make me feel like that.
really amazing job! keep it up <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="

The first thing you notice are these powerful eyes looking at the viewer, they are like a magnet! I love also that they are quite colorful. It's like she is right staring at me, so you indeed did a wonderful job!
Of corse I have to say that putting a person like this into a picture isn't that original but you technique and the color contrast easily make that point uninteresting! As I said great use of colors, the cold blue lets the beautiful drawn face stand out even more!
so over all I am sorry to not really find much to critique you sinde in my opion this is a uite excelent work!
keep up your good art!
and have a nice day too!
