Musketeer Pike

Throughout a range of southern freshwater habitats can be found the temperate counterpart of the crocodile gar: the Musketeer Pike. Like the crocodile gar, they can reach up to ten feet long in southern Arvel, but they are far less aggressive than their reputation might suggest. There have been a few anglers killed by these predators, and Arvelith folklore says they are among the mightiest of fish, but in general they are considered to be far less lethal than appearances might suggest. They were once quite common in Qajar, but persecution by fishermen lead to localized extinction in many river and lake systems.
