Hi,

thanks for the requests on my SFX photos.

I still have some rolls left  and plan to take them along to a Thailand trip in the summer.

I'd like to suggest to those who shoot Ilford SFX in the IR mode to  include information on the type of filter used for the shot.  It would be interesting to see how the film reacts to different filter types, from yellow to red and down to IR.

Cheers,
Mark

I've only shot a role or two of SFX, but I really liked it

I wish you good luck with your group, but sadly I think IR-sensitive film is losing out to digital effects.  I don't think anyone quite appreciates the love of this film once you pull the print out of the wash ;P

Thank you for your comment.

I haven't shot too many SFX films and tend to use Rollei IR 400, but that said I do still love the effects of Ilford SFX as they fall in a group of their own by not truly being an IR film.

I must agree, there is nothing quite as magical as developing film by hand and and watching the prints emerge in the developer tray under red light.

Jim

Hello Ilford-SFX-Film!
I don't know you, neither do you know me.
But I wanted to say: welcome to DeviantArt.
Have a nice stay! :)

Thank you for the welcome. I'm hoping this group can become a useful source for those shooting with Ilford SFX 200 film and provide a good gallery of the effects that can be attained with this film.

Regards
Jim
