Site Update: Bug Fixes, Feedback, Art Challenges

In our continuous effort to improve the deviantART experience, we're publishing weekly Site Updates to keep members informed and to gather feedback. Below is a list of recent changes to the site, bug fixes, and feedback that was brought up by members in the last Site Update.

Change Log

• A "Select All 20" option and "Select None" option have been added to the Tag Editor page. Added by kemayo
  
• The Tag Editor page would occasionally display tags twice. Fixed by kemayo
  
• When the Active Members widget on a Group page was placed into a sidebar, the text would not display properly. Fixed by baclap
  
• The tag input box on Submit/Edit pages would behave unusually when reached via the tab button. Fixed by szlosek
  
• Clicking thumbnails in shared Status Updates did nothing. Fixed by inazar
  
• Mentions made in comments on Status Updates were not sending mention notifications. Fixed by inazar
  
• The search box on the Forum wasn't searching for forum threads. Fixed by trezoid
  
• Some Deviousness awards were marked as having been awarded in 1969. Fixed by baclap
  
• When in Sta.sh on the mobile website, there would be an unintentional horizontal scrollbar. Fixed by trezoid
  
• In Sta.sh Writer embedded thumbs would have resize handles even when the thumbnail was not resizeable. Fixed by trezoid
  
• Images dragged into Sta.sh Writer would incorrectly retain some CSS classes and other attributes.  Fixed by trezoid
  
• Deactivated and banned deviants were not rendering correctly in the user page watcher modals. Fixed by baclap
  
• Deviations in the Motion Books category had rendering issues on the mobile website. Fixed by trezoid
  
• When hovering over a deviation thumbnail included in a Journal or comment, the button to switch the thumbnail to a standard link was missing. Fixed by inazar 
  
• A small number of Journals were not displaying properly, because they contained an embedded item from Sta.sh that was deleted after the Journal's publishing. Fixed by trezoid
  
• When viewing one's Sta.sh from the Sta.sh Writer sidebar, if a stack contained only sub-stacks without any individual files, those sub-stacks would display multiple times. Fixed by trezoid
  

Your Feedback

Thank you for your feedback on last week's Site Update!

• We continue to monitor performance of our recently launched features, now available to Beta Testers and a small portion of the overall deviantART audience. Thank you for your continued feedback as we work to tweak and refine these features before they're released site-wide.
  
• In response to the Discuss topic, deviants generally said that they do not use the Random buttons, though a few mentioned occasionally doing so when giving deviants llama badges or when looking for new art or artists.
  
• Marichromatic's suggestion about community-aided tagging with artist approval was well-received.
  
• TheEmerald suggested a Random DD button, to view a random Daily Deviation from the past.
