Kayentavenator by ijreid Kayentavenator by ijreid
The first of the voted genera, Kayentavenator elysiea Gay, 2010. Probably either a dilophosaurid or a very basal tetanuran related to Sinosaurus and Cryolophosaurus, it likely had a crest. I decided to not do my traditional colouring on this for the body and instead used some techniques I learned in art class. Note: the greens and blues are impossible as feathers, but here it is green and blue skin.

Update: added shadowing and thinned the back leg as per suggestions at wikipedia.

Thanks. It may have to do with the medium, watercolour paints. It makes the blend, or pop out depending on how dry the paint is.
