Reconstitution d'une tête d'Oviraptor ("voleur d'oeufs"). Son premier fossile (déterré en Mongolie), découvert à côté d'une pile d'oeufs de Protocératops lui a valu ce surnom (même si l'on pense aujourd'hui qu'il s'agissait de ses propres oeufs qu'il gardait. En analysant le bec de ce dinosaure, les scientifiques pensent qu'il était effectivement capable de manger des oeufs mais également des coquillages.
