Sins of the Past
It wasn't the first time Jaden had woken up in tears, a scream dying in his throat as he clenched the bed sheets in a death grip, his body soaked in sweat and trembling from the night terrors. It was just the first time that Jesse had born witness to one.
It was the shuffling and rustling of sheets that first roused him from his sleep, followed shortly but the soft, unintelligible mumblings.
"Jay?" he asked, rubbing an eye sleepily as he sat up. "You ok over there? Jay?" A soft coo came from beside Jaden's head as Winged Kuriboh materialized, looking down at Jaden with sad eyes, then back at Jesse, as if asking him to help Jaden.
Jaden's f
Dipper wouldn’t have even suspected any of it was a dream until he saw Bill. Why would he, that was the nature of dreams after all, to seem sensible and normal to the mind at the time, only seeming strange after the fact.
“What are you doing here?” he asked, glaring daggers at the dream demon.
“Oh, Dipper Dipper, this is my domain after all. Why wouldn’t I be here?” replied the triangle-shaped entity, single eye following the boy as he moved. “Maybe I just wanted to talk.”
The dreamscape around them melted into a star filled void, endless no matter which direction one looked and
There but two reasons I shut my bedroom door at night, the first is simple. I love to sleep in the dark, so closing it keeps any light from the hall from slipping in.
The second, is our cats. In anyone else's room they will stay asleep all night, except mine. Instead they wander and roam, across me, across the bed, through my room. Into my closest, out of the closet, through the clutter that covers my floor, poking and prodding and licking anything and everything. And they are not quiet about it either, nor do they stop unless hurried out.
But sometimes, one will beat me to bed and I'll find them asleep curled at the foot of my bed and my h
Jeren raised his head as he climbed out of the car and looked up at he massive old building at loomed before him. The setting sun put it in shadow, the dark windows like hollow black eyes that stared back at him.
"Ya gonna be alright in there alone?" A young woman stuck her head out the window of the car as she spoke, "I hear it's awfully dangerous in there, some nasty spirits."
He looked back and grinned, "I'll be just fine. Don't worry."
"Alright, I'll just phone me when you need a pick up." She gave a two fingered salute before backing out of the parking lot of the old building and drove off.
He used the back of his gloved hand as a sh
"Gaon, Gaon where are you?" The boy sighed and lowered his hands; he'd been calling for hours for his little brother and still couldn't find him. He frowned, his dark eyes worried, this wasn't like Gaon at all. "Where did you go?"
Zareth was about to turn around and go home when a soft, muffled noise caught his attention and he spotted a small huddled figure hiding in the alleyway.
"Gaon, what happened to you?" he asked as he knelt beside his little brother.
The younger boy buried his face into his brother's chest, his arms sported fresh bruises, his bottom lip swollen and cut and his clothes were torn and dirtied.
"Not again," said Za
"So, remind me again how you talked me into this?" asked Arrow, running a finger along the edge of his glass in a bored manner.
The kitsune across from him wiggled his ears and grinned, "Because you can never say no to me," he teased.
Arrow sighed, it was true, he could never seem to say no to the younger kitsune. Probably because of the puppy dog eyes he gave when asking for something.
"You know, you could use a hair cut."
"Haa? But I like it," he said.
"Then stop complaining when someone thinks you're a girl," said Arrow.
Schuichi's ear flattened, "It should be obvious I'm not though, long hair or not. I'm not exactly, endowed eno
The frightened half-Fae looked up at the pale, slender that hovered before him, fear in his eyes.
"Can you, really make it all stop?" he asked.
"Oh but of course I can young one," it responded in a cool, almost gentle voice. "I can give you all the power you need. No one will ever lay a hand on your again." It extended a ghostly white hand, each finger unnaturally long and thing.
The boy trembled as he looked at it, all he had to do was take its hand and all his problems would be solved. The boys in the village wouldn't call him a freak anymore, they wouldn't throw things at him or beat on him.
Reaching up he placed his hand in the pale h

A nameless angel, a lonely god.
There was a soft rustling of covers beside Phobos and he felt someone move up beside him. Opening one eye the demon rolled over to see who it was.
"I can't sleep," said Damien in a small voice, curled up next to him on the bed.
"Damien, go back to your own bed," he said when he saw his little brother curled up next to him.
"But it's scary in there," the five year old demon said as he looked at his big brother.
Even in the darkness he could see his brother's fearful blue-grey eyes. "Damien stop being such a baby and go back to bed," he said, sticking his arms out to push his brother away.
There was a soft thud as Damien rolled off the bed
Dorian looked at the sleeping demon and smiled weakly as he leaned over and kissed the side of his head and gently drew the covers over him.
"You're a good person Beau, I'm so sorry about this." He stroked his face, gently pushing aside strands of hair that lay over his face. Silently he made his way to the door and slipped out of the room making not a sound.
"Hey, have you seen Dorian around?" Aya's voice split the silence, jerking Beauregard awake.
"Get outta my room," groaned the sleeping demon, rolling over. "And why would I know where he is?"
"Aside from the fact that you two are practically joined at the hip? Gee, no idea. I just f
