Arc Reactor Boot Animation

This Windows 7 Boot Animation is Tony Stark's (a.k.a. Iron Man's) arc reactor powering up. The original image comes from apophis906 of droidforums.net, and the animation and formatting for Win7 are from me. Enjoy!

can you upload this as a gif so it can be used with 8oot Logo Changer for windows 8?

I don't think so. I can't even get 8oot Logo Changer to install on my computer (it says it's done installing, but the application is nowhere to be found), but from the documentation, it seems like it only uses 6 frames for the animation. In contrast, Windows 7 (and therefore this animation) uses 105 frames. So unless you want only 5% of the animation, it can't be done XD . Sorry.

Yea I found out that the windows 8 bootres.dll is just the windows logo you can change in 8oot logo changer. Tried putting a windows 7 bootres.dll on my w8 machine and it couldnt even boot. So i can just take an image off google images and make that the boot loader image.

Then it has this other problem where the image is too small. It can only have the image be tiny which looks like shit. So im just keeping the default.

Bootres is more than just the logo; it contains other startup processes that Windows calls. In addition, it's designed to load 6 frames, not 105, so you can't just drop-in a Windows 7 DLL. Sorry.

Everytime i try to install it, the program stops working.. haven't rebooted since, as i'm afraid it wont boot.. pls help...

Yeah, people have had a lot of trouble with the installer. You should instead use the .bs7 file within the Win7 Boot Updater found here: [link]

Try to boot up your computer. If it gets stuck in recovery, you need to follow the instructions on this page to fix it: [link]

After that, just use the .bs7 file instead of the installer and you should have no problems anymore.

I need the original "winload.exe" - i can't uninstall it with your executable or win7 boot updater.

I ran the installer bit now I cannot load any other custom boot screen or uninstall this one because each time it says that it failed. I don't know if this is related to the custom boot screen but I can't uninstall or install anything else either and my internet stopped working, and my PC never shuts down. It just stays on the "Shutting Down..." screen.

That's very strange. It shouldn't have any effect on your Internet or your ability to install/uninstall anything. In fact, I can't see how it COULD affect that. As for saying the new boot screen installation failed, try going to Options->Restore Backups (in the boot updater program) and then you should be good to go to install a new one

Very cool. It worked well when I installed the arc reactor, but I got this error when trying to install your triangle animation. Any idea what this is and/or what a workaround could be?

I'm not sure. That's quite the error xD . Did you try installing it using the Win7Boot Updater program instead of the installer? I know the installers aren't always the most stable...
