Samo's Empire was interesting political entitity that lasted for about 30 years, then vanished. It is not obvious how this small state have been created and how was organised. We know very little about this topic. For more information try this article:

i am from territory from old prus, and you poles kinda like truso too much, it was a great tradecenter, but sources like wiki explicitly say that there was another even larger tradecenter in curonian lagoon, also with its own bay that doesn't exist here, it was burned in 1043 by Cnut the great of denmark

Thanks, I know these facts about Truso. Despite it was tiny comparing to other European trade cities, still it was the largest one in this region, especially in V-VII century... Thanks for feedback!

Great map, but lately, as I recall, is thought that Wogastiburg is located on Danube, not far to the west from Wiena... just trolling ;). Map itself is good :)

Thanks ;) ! I've searched in couple of sources about Wogatisburg, but I didn't find the exact location so... Let it be somewhere 'over here'.

Yea, noone really knows where it was - or what was the exact extent od Samo's empire. The reasoning about being it south on Danube is that the core of Samo's empire was somewehere around current South Moravia and the Franks were comming most likely from the south, the best way available to them along the river, where a number of old Roman camps still existed, along with - most likely - some roads. Nothing like that was in Bohemia, just an unpopulated forrest and swamps and basically a lovely but wild countryside :)
