Extreme Chaos -SONIC PT 2-"Test #1," Chigai yelled out. "Blue hedgehog, you're first." Sonic then stepped up. "This test will not only test your speed, but your stealth as well. I have placed a bunch of high-speed motion sensors across the field." He then pointed to floating orbs located around the course. "Your objective is to make it through the course without being spotted."
Sonic grinned. "Almost too easy."
Sonic ran across the course as the orbs rotated around him. "Hmm, now where to hide." He looked around and up as quickly as possible, noticing a tree above him. "Ah!" He jumped up and rested on the branch, jumping through the trees and over the motion sensors to the end.
"Damn, I didn't quite get that far on the course," Chigai muttered, "I gotta fix that." He sighed and pushed a button nearby, changing the course as Sonic jumped down.
"Okay, Foxboy, your turn. Test #2. I've heard you're a mechanic. Well, here's your chance to prove it to me." He pointed to a pile of scrap nearby. "Your task
Extreme Chaos -SONIC PT 1-"Tails, where is this village Icee told us to find?" Sonic asked, his blue fur gaining bits of soot from the ruins that lay ahead of him.
"Not too far now," Tails replied as he flew higher to avoid the dust. Just then, flying debris hit him square in the face, knocking him to the ground.
"TAILS!" Knuckles and Sonic both yelled as they ran to their downed friend.
"I'm okay, but where did that debris come from?" Just then, another piece of scrap flew past them.
"Who in the hell?" Knuckles exclaimed as he punched the metal, smashing it into pieces.
A shockwave rustled the ground, knocking the trio back. At the other end of the shockwave stood a bull.
"The name is Chigai, protector of the Earth Emerald. I've been told that there were three intruders after the Emerald. Seems like I found them."
Tails gasped. "Wait, we're here for the Emerald, yes, but it's for a good purpose!"
Sonic continued. "There's a mad robot on the loose. Even Knuckles couldn't fase him without a bit of Emerald power,
Extreme Chaos -RENEGADE PT 4-"He what?!" Icee yelled over the walkie-talkie. "I'm Chaos Controlling you out of there—"
"No!" Roareye yelled back. "It ain't over till it's over." Roareye slashed at the robot, who in response vanished. "I'll let you keep this Emerald, but I'll come back for it later."
"Well, that was easy!" Cake smiled as the Emerald shone in front of them in all its glory.
"Yeah," Bane relied. "A bit too easy." He put his hand towards the Emerald, but before he could grab it, it disappeared as well. "What the--?"
Obsidian reappeared behind the group. "Did you really think I was so damn stupid? Foolish on your behalf. Now you all die."
Flames engulfed Aquea as she looked around her surroundings. "Where am I?"
"You're in Hades." Aquea turned around to see what looked to be a hybrid between a hedgehog and a rabbit dressed in a black robe.
"What the hell? How did I get here?"
"You died. I picked you up and brought you here."
"And who are you?" the Elemental Master asked, her ey
Extreme Chaos -RENEGADE PT 3-"Bane!" Cake yelled., groaning as the attack crushed her slowly. "Since when did you come with a crappy one-liner like that?"
Bane looked down, trying to figure a way out of the Wave Crush. He struggled to pull his hands out of the grasp of the attack. He had finally worked one arm out when Aquea fell to her knees, holding her head in agony. The three Wave Crush attacks dissipated, releasing their prisoners. The Elemental Mistress let out a yell that shook the walls of the palace before falling face-first onto the floor.
"Holy crap!" Cake yelled, poking the now-lifeless body. "She's not—"
"Looks to be," Roareye replied, pulling out his gun. "Let's just make sure."
"No." Bane put his hand up, and Roareye put his weapon back in the holster. Just then, another shadow stepped in from behind the palace.
"Impostor! Back away from Cake and Roareye NOW!" the shadow replied before stepping from the darkness, revealing itself to resemble Bane.
"Two Banes?" Cake looked at both t
Extreme Chaos -RENEGADE PT 2-"Damn," Roareye said quietly, "how far do we have to swim?"
"We're here!" Tasha yelled cheerfully as she led the trio into a somewhat dark room.
"Where are we exactly?" Cake asked as a shadowy figure emerged behind them.
"Natasha, I told you not to bring any strangers to Lenagua!" the shadow replied with a bit of a motherly tone. "Who knows what could be crawling around on the surface world that you would bring down here?"
"Surface world?" Tasha asked.
"Yes, there are two worlds, the Normal World, and the Surface World. This is the Normal World—"
"I wouldn't classify this as 'normal', ma'am," Cake spoke up before a projectile that seemed to be a water bomb flew towards the kitsune. Luckily, Bane was there in time to stop the bomb from reaching its target, blocking it with his sword.
"What the—" the shadow asked, a bit shocked. "How did you, a Surfacer, stop that attack? With the surface tension here in Lenagua, you wouldn't have been able to pick up your sword, much less use it!
Extreme Chaos -RENEGADE PT 1-The voices rang loudly in Cake's head. "There's no way to escape me this time! You will be mine, and you WILL understand the true meaning of evil!" She grabbed her head, trying to shake the voices out.
"You OK, Cake?" Bane asked as the three swam towards the sunken village of Lenagua.
"Yeah, I'm OK," Cake replied. "Just having a flashback, that's all."
The three swam down to the entrance, where two guards met them. "By orders of Princess Aquea of the Lenagua Village, we restrict you from coming through without proper identification."
"ID this!" Bane yelled as he slashed at the guard, creating a pool of blood mixed with dark energy in front of the guard's body.
"Bane!" Cake yelled. "Put that away!" She laughed nervously and told the other guard, "Sorry about him; he's been a bit, well, jumpy ever since he and his girl—"
"Yeah, understood, but still! No one can pass!" the guard yelled.
"Listen, we've been sent on official reconnaissance by one Icee Cryothorn to recover the Aqua Em
Extreme Chaos -CHAOTIX PT 3-The group approached the shrine with caution. "Lest we awake the darkness within," Loren-Da whispered as she handed the Chaotix a flashlight. Vector smiled, turning the light on as a test. These three ain't that bad, he thought as Team Storm led them into a room containing a purple emerald.
"Go ahead," Snow waved her hand toward the Emerald in a sort of 'take-it' fashion. "You earned the emerald." As Vector moved his hand to the prize, the emerald vanished.
"What the hell?" he yelled as Akura pulled out the real emerald. We've been had!
"You really think we would let you waltz in here and take Obsidian's emerald?" the wolf yelled out, causing the Chaotix to look back in shock.
"So," Charmy said menacingly, "you work for Obsidian, too?" All of a sudden, the hedgehog, the wolf, the echidna…all vanished, leaving the emerald lying on the ground. In their place stood a shadow creature about the same size as Obsidian, and the same shape.
"Fools!" the shadow creature moan
Extreme Chaos -CHAOTIX PT 2-"Umbra," Vector said, his voice sounding a bit annoyed, "we don't have time for your flashbacks. We need to find the Dark Emerald before Obsidian does."
Just then, a moaning sound could be heard in the distance. All four ran toward the cityscape as fast as they could. Once they reached the source of the moaning, they stared straight ahead, face to face with a blue and white female hedgehog.
"Who in the hell--?" Vector asked.
"She kinda resembles an icehedgehog," Espio added.
"Guys! I remember her!" Charmy replied, his voice resonating through the city air. "That's Snow, of the Gelerizo tribe." Just then, a Frost Ball hit the bee in his back. The other two looked in shock as two more animals jumped down from nearby ledges: an orange wolf and a yellow and green echidna.
"OK, Espio, emergency procedure!" The two went into a fighting stance as Snow readied another Frost Ball.
"I don't know who you are, but Team Storm has no time for the likes of you!" she yelled, her quills sta
Extreme Chaos -CHAOTIX PT 1-Geez, the green crocodile thought as he passed through the darkness known as Yang Village. I sure hope we’re getting paid for this. He picked up the walkie-talkie attached to his waist and yelled through the speaker. “Cryothorn! We ARE getting paid for this right?”
“Vector, chill!” the voice on the other end replied. “Either do this or there won’t be any money to make!” The signal was lost as the crocodile strained his eyes to see.
Meanwhile, a pink chameleon zipped through every alley, looking around for a light. This place is a ghost town, he thought as he slid across the wall, blending in with the darkness. Must rely on other senses to navigate through here, since I can’t see anything. Then it hit him—literally. A light so bright it almost blinded the two.
“Found something!” A bee shone through the light as the others tried to regain their sense of sight through the newly-lit alleyway
