Helldivers 2 Incident - What went down

Prior to criticizing Sony, let me point out that other firms, like Ubisoft and EA, force Steam users to create separate accounts to access their games. One example of this is Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, which is exclusive to Ubisoft's platform.

Nonetheless, the fact that Sony is forcing users to register for PSN accounts to play Helldivers 2—a decision that did not come from Arrowhead—disappoints a lot of PC gamers.
Could you imagine someone who cannot afford a PlayStation or fails to understand anything how PSN works? They will, unfavorably not be able to play Helldivers 2.

This is a shocking revelation for everyone who enjoyed playing Helldivers on the PC.








In the end, Sony altered its thoughts and scrapped the approach, but that does not imply the company won't take the same steps for other titles in the future.
