“Careful… caaarefuuul….” Reuben whispered to himself, tiptoeing around blind spots in the security system.
Reuben was a thief. It had started with him simply falling on hard times and needing to steal to survive, but the more he did it, the better he got. It had gotten to the point where he was now a master of his craft, and rather than stealing for himself, he was being hired by other people to steal things they wanted. It had become a rather lucrative business, and Reuben had been crafty enough to evade the police this entire time.
Tonight’s crime was a fairly standard one. He was to break in to a jewellery store, head to the vault in the back room, and take what was inside. It shouldn’t be too difficult. Since the shop was new in town, Reuben had needed a few days to scope out the sort of security they had, but tonight was the night he’d pull it off.
