• Two teenagers who had their power granted by alien/animal lifeforms (Omega-Xis and Artemis, respectively)

• They draw their power and purpose from beyond earth and its technological limits (EM Waves and the planet Venus, respectively)

• Both begin their stories dealing with personal tragedy (Geo starts as a social recluse, traumatized by the loss of his father. Minako's time as the lone hero Sailor V gave her a serious, focused edge before meeting the other sailor guardians)

• The two are teenage human heroes who transform to harness cosmic, star-based powers to fight for Earth.

• Both deal with the weight of being the leader of a group of heroes. (Geo often acts as the central figure in his group of "brothers", while Sailor Venus is the official leader of the Inner Senshi.)

• They have a two-sided nature apparently (Geo and Omega-Xis are two separate beings fused into one body, while Minako had an independent past as Sailor V)
