Basic Overview of Chat Rules
Three strikes policy
#IamAnthro has a three (3) strikes policy that applies to all members and guests. 3 warnings and you will be kicked. 3 kicks and you will be demoted. Members will be demoted to Guests. Guests will be demoted to Banned. See below in “Bans and Kicks” for issues regarding being banned. Warnings and kicks are issued at the discretion of moderators. If you have anti-kick enabled, a momentary ban may substitute for the kick. Certain offenses may warrant an immediate ban.

Treat everyone in the room with respect Be polite and courteous to guests and members Keep conversations meaningful— talk about anthro/art Refrain from foul language or suggestive content– this room is PG-13 rated. Refrain from speaking in languages other than English–#IamAnthro is English only. Refrain from joining the chat while drunk or otherwise under the influence as lack of discretion may lead to disruption of other users or breaking the channel or site rules.THINGS THAT WILL GET YOU INTO TROUBLE:
Not following DAmn and #IamAnthro rulesThese Rules have been slightly modified from dAmn Regulations and Policies to accommodate the needs of this Chatroom. Under no circumstances should the rules specific to the chatroom or the dAmn Regulations and Policies be ignored. Rules are enforced at the discretion of the moderators and administrators.
Challenging and disrespecting the moderators and/or administratorsChallenging a moderator's or administrator's decision will not be tolerated. Any challenge against a moderator or administrator will result in a warning. If the challenge persists, you will be kicked or banned. If you show disrespect towards any moderator or administrator of the chatroom, either in the room itself or through notes and private messaging, you are liable for an immediate and, potentially, permanent ban from the chatroom. Disrespect includes, but is not limited to, swearing at the person, calling names, and using slurs against the person.
Discussing inappropriate topics#IamAnthro is rated PG-13. No sex, vore, hate, profanity, or anything that may be disturbing to visitors should be posted or discussed in this chat. Discussion of disturbing and inapproptiate topics extends to links as well. Doing so will have consequences including, but not limited to, warnings, kicks, and potentially bans.
Being a CR-sponsored chat, general conversation in this room should consist of anthro-related topics. Although occasional side conversations are permitted, please try to keep conversations meaningful. Be positive and bring suggestions, not complaints. (Complaints should be taken up with lost-angle.) This is not a room to babble about pointless things, or gossip about users in another channel.
Using inappropriate languageInappropriate language includes any language that in any way looks like, sounds like, or abbreviates any of the following: Profanity, sexual content, explicit language, inappropriate references to sexual preferences, or offensive remarks (such as racial, ethnic, religious, or sexual). Actions that either incite or encourage others to violate these and other policies will not be tolerated. No appeals for bans and kicks related to inappropriate language will be tolerated. Usernames containing inappropriate words and terms will be banned. We encourage users to return with an appropriate username. For a non-exclusive list of inappropriate words, please read this.
Flaming, bashing, or disparaging othersModerators will remove anyone who advocates or encourages expressions of violence, bigotry, racism, or hatred. No appeals for bans and kicks related to harassment will be tolerated. We encourage our members to treat each other with respect. Do not threaten, harass, stalk, or abuse others.
Excessive dramaWe expect the mood of rooms to remain civil at all times. For this reason, we ask that you keep negative, personal issues in private and that you do not use #IamAnthro as a place to fight and argue. If such an event should happen, then a chat moderator will step in and take whatever action is deemed necessary.
Excessive Role Play (RP)1. Light RP is acceptable. Light RP consists of occasional small actions, not connected to a story and in most cases no longer than one to three lines. If you would like to participate in an actual RP, please go to #OfficialAnthroRP. If you refuse to stop RPing after being warned in #IamAnthro, you may be kicked. 2. Inappropriate RP will not be tolerated. The chatroom is PG-13, so keep that in mind. You may be kicked if you insist on RPing inappropriately. For an example of excessive role play, please read this.
Spamming Excessive posting of any text, links, or images and posting of images inappropriate for the chat will be considered spam and may warrant warnings or kicks. Persistent spam after 3 warnings will result in a kick and 3 kicks may result in a ban in enforcement of the 3 strikes policy. Clearly excessive posts with the clear intent to spam may warrant an immediate ban.
-Inappropriate images and links
1. Images thumbed in the chat must be PG-13. If you post a link, you must tag it as “Safe For Work” (sfw) or “Not Safe For Work” (nsfw). Safe for work images and links are images and links that are PG or PG-13, Not safe for work images and links are over PG-13, if you wouldn’t send it to your semi-conservative boss, paste it nsfw in the chat. 2. Repeatedly posting the same thumb or link will be considered spam.
-Stretching
Stretching comes in two forms. 1. Adding extra letters to a single word. ex. greeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaat. 2. Not using spaces between words, occasionally to the point of causing a horizontal scroll bar in the chat. ex. I’mnotputtingspacesbetweenmywords!la!
-Emotes and Icons
Excessively posting emotes and icons will be considered spam, especially repetitively posting the same emote or icon. Use discretion. There is no clearly defined number that would be considered spam. When a mod warns for spamming, consider that the limit.
-Mass Caps
Mass caps is using all capital letters in your message sent to the room. One short line (eg. HOLY COW) is acceptable. Used in long lines or in most of the lines you send, mass caps will be considered excessive and spam.
-Text Walls and Flooding
1. Text walls are blocks of text sent at a single time. Use discretion and heed warnings. Text walls are generally considered to be more than three to five lines long. 2. Flooding is excessively posting in the chatroom without allowing participation from other chatters. Clearly excessive flooding without allowing for warnings may result in an immediate ban.
-Bot Spam
Bot spam is classified as excessive use of bot features.
PROMOTION
The minimum time for promotion to members is 3 weeks. Maintain good behavior and remain active, and you may be promoted after 3 weeks of joining the chatroom. If you are not active during your first 3 weeks in chat or are not behaving appropriately, it may take longer for you to be promoted to Members. Promotion is at the discretion of the moderators.
BANS and KICKS
Bans and kicks are set at the discretion of the moderators; based on etiquette policy, these rules, and discussion with lost-angle and other moderators. The creation or use of existing accounts for the purpose of ban evasion is not tolerated and will result in the extension of the ban period, as well as a possible ban on all alternate accounts from the Chat Network and deviantART itself.
The minimum period for any ban is one day (24 hours) and can be anything up to indefinitely. If you have a query about a ban in #IamAnthro, contact lost-angle and IaAMod via note.
All promotions, warnings, kicks, and bans issued by Moderators and Administrators in #IamAnthro are recorded in this group. If you are repeatedly being warned or kicked, you may be banned from the room (see the Three Strikes Policy stated at the top).
PROBLEMS with MODERATORS/PROMOTION
If any visitor/member in #IamAnthro feels there is a problem with a moderator (anything that goes against the aforementioned rules, favoritism, abuse of power, setting a bad example, etc.), immediately copy/paste the conversation into a note to lost-angle and IaAMod.
Do NOT harass the moderator, or attempt to create an uprising. Doing so will result in a ban. Do NOT ask to be promoted. Doing so will likely result in the answer “NO.”

If there are no moderators in the chatroom and someone has entered and broken the rules, please copy/paste the lines of chat where rules were broken from start to finish. Send these logs to IaAMod in a note in the following form:

WHAT IS COMMUNITY RELATIONS?
COMMUNITY Relations (CR) is a project headed by moonbeam13 , in which a team of volunteer staff bring you Daily Deviation Features and community events. The CR team is composed of gallery moderators; dedicated volunteers who connect to the community and improve dA.
WHAT IS A CR-SPONSORED CHAT ROOM?
When you join a CR-sponsored chatroom, you can feel at home with familiar community members, sharing opinions, suggestions, and asking questions. #IamAnthro has been designed to support the anthro community by providing direct connection to dA staff members and seniors involved in the anthro community, as well as links to current anthro events.
CHAT BOTS
No bots can be loaded into #IamAnthro without first contacting IaAMod and verifying your bot with us. Only bots belonging to moderators will be considered for the chat. Loading a bot in #IamAnthro without first acquiring permission for it will result in a ban on the bot and a warning against you. Abuse of a bot may result in the bot being banned from the room.
